Fall 2009 - Yoga Teacher Traning
Yoga is a personal journey of discovery and enlightenment on many different levels. For example, at first my journey was purely focused on the physical benefits of practice. I wanted the flexibility to improve my athletic performance. As I continue to learn more about practice I am equally intrigued by the mind, body, soul union. Yoga is not only about changing your physical demeanor but also about changing your pyschology and how you process emotions and respond to them. I believe yoga can become a lifestyle for those who seek personal growth and development. I think it also important to clarify that this type of personal growth can be applied to everyday living; it is not confined to the yoga studio.

Meet my step-sister: US Representative Stephanie Herseth of South Dakota
Stephanie worked with U.S. District Court Judge Charles B. Kornmann in Pierre and Aberdeen. She also served as a law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and has been in the private practice of law assisting clients in litigation matters throughout the United States. Herseth currently lives in Brookings, where she serves on the board of directors of First National Bank and is a member of Brookings Rotary. In 2003, she served as the executive director of the South Dakota Farmers Union Foundation, working to expand the base of financial support for cooperative education youth programs as part of the Foundation's mission to support programs and advance efforts that further economic prosperity and cultural vitality in rural South Dakota. (She is good at basketball too!)
